The Pitch

In this creative and challenging event, teams are required to create, market and pitch a product good enough to prove they have the business acumen and entrepreneurial skills to rival the most successful entrepreneur. Which team in your group will have what it takes to come out on top in this competitive challenge?

From this event your group will learn how to:

  • Identify individual strengths
  • Practice the art of delegation
  • Work under pressure
  • Develop communication skills
  • Utilize teamwork and leadership skills

The success of the team starts with the initial challenge of quickly identifying each other's strengths and delegating specific roles including project manager, marketing, finance, and design. Divided into three distinct sections, teams aim to fulfill a range of business objectives in a logical order – everything from designing logos, filming advertisements and creating marketing materials to interviewing potential consumers and creating a prototype product from the variety of items available at the supply depot.

Throughout the event, teams can earn additional points with bonus business challenges. These bonus challenges include guessing the brands responsible for the popular slogans shown, figuring out which three famous business moguls faces were merged together in a photo, or taking a photo demonstrating how they would handle a certain situation such as a security breach.

Finally, the teams at the top of the scoreboard are invited to pitch their product to their peers. The group then uses the technology within the app to vote for their favorite team in an exciting finale that will have teams on the edge of their seats!

Inclusions

  • Set up, strike and delivery of a team building event for teams of 6 participants
  • A professional event leader to emcee and organize the event
  • Event assistant(s) to man the supply depot
  • Team identification for each participant
  • One rental iPad in case with game app to track points, introduce bonus challenges, capture photos and videos, manage voting, etc.
  • Event equipment including presentation board and materials to create a prototype
  • Award medals for each participant on the winning team
