Stir Things Up

Event Description

Want an activity that will get your group mixing, mingling and out of their normal cliques? Consider stirring things up with this mixer activity that provides all the right ingredients!

Guests become mixologists as they get a lanyard imprinted with a cocktail ingredient. They also receive a Stir Things Up game card with instructions on how to take part in the mixer. The card instructs guests to mix and mingle with others at the event to try and form as many cocktails as they can by combining their drink ingredient with other guests’.

For instance, if one person had “Vodka” on their lanyard, they could find a person who had “Sour Mix” on theirs to make a Vodka Sour. The person who had “Vodka” could then stir things up and move on to find a person who had “Cranberry Juice” and another who had “Pineapple Juice” to make a Bay Breeze.

Our bartenders are stationed throughout the party with an apron and a stash of cocktail stir sticks. When guests make a mixed drink together, all of them walk over to the bartender. The bartender then gives everyone who made the drink a stir stick. And, don’t try to trick them into believing a drink – something like scotch and milk - is something anyone would enjoy. They just may make you drink it in front of them to prove it!

At the end of the mixer, guests count how many stir sticks they’ve collected, a winner is announced and a bartender set is awarded to the person holding the most.
