Lei'd Back

Event Description

If you want to encourage a laid back atmosphere for your welcome reception by getting participants to mix and mingle, Lei’d Back is the activity for you!

As participants arrive at the event, they receive 10 leis, each in a different color. They also get a card that explains how the activity works. Participants must swap leis with other participants, so they eventually have 10 leis that are all the same color.

Once participants have acquired all 10 matching leis, they check in to prove they have completed the task. After verification, they receive one half of a raffle ticket, and the other is entered into a prize drawing that will be held at the end of the networking function. At this check in station, participants may also trade in their 10 plastic leis for an “upgraded” polyester floral lei to signify that they have completed their task and to stay in the tropical party spirit!

Lei’d Back – the perfect way to give your participants a reason to interact and get to know one another in a lei’d back way, with the only strings attached being those that hold the leis around their neck together!


  • Set, strike and delivery of a themed networking event
  • Professional event leader and assistant(s) to emcee and organize the event
  • Event supplies including raffle tickets and bin for prize drawing, one sign for check-in table, ten plastic leis, one fabric floral lei, an instruction handout, and a number card for each participant.
